Privacy Policy

Zero file uploads, zero tracking cookies, and complete transparency on how CleanSlate operates.

1. Zero File Data Collection (100% Local Processing)

Last Updated:

No file data is ever taken, uploaded, transmitted, or stored from the main page. When you select or drag-and-drop an image, PDF, video, or audio file into CleanSlate, the entire file inspection and metadata scrubbing process happens 100% locally inside your web browser’s memory using client-side JavaScript (ArrayBuffer and Uint8Array).

Neither your original files, your scrubbed files, nor any of the extracted metadata tags (such as GPS coordinates, camera serial numbers, or author names) ever leave your device or touch Octobridge servers. Once you close or refresh the browser tab, the temporary in-memory file buffer is immediately discarded by your browser.

2. Information You Voluntarily Provide (Contact Form)

The only personal or diagnostic data we ever receive is information you explicitly submit through our optional Contact & Support page:

Bug Reports & Feedback

When you submit the support form, the fields you fill out (report category, affected file format, optional name, optional reply email, subject, and message), along with basic request headers (such as your browser User-Agent and application version), are forwarded via a Cloudflare Pages Function so we can investigate bugs and reply to you if requested.

Data Retention & Usage

Support messages are used solely to improve CleanSlate and resolve reported issues. We never sell, rent, or share your contact details with third parties or marketing services.

3. Cookies, Local Storage & Analytics

CleanSlate does not use tracking cookies, behavioral profiling, fingerprinting scripts, or persistent browser storage (localStorage or IndexedDB) to track your activity.

4. Hosting & Network Security (Cloudflare Workers)

This web application is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Like all standard web servers and content delivery networks (CDNs), Cloudflare processes basic network connection metadata (such as your IP address and HTTP request headers) when your browser fetches the static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files that make up the website, in order to deliver the page securely and protect against automated abuse (DDoS).

CleanSlate also enforces strict browser security headers—including Referrer-Policy: no-referrer, X-Frame-Options: DENY, and disabled Permissions-Policy for camera, microphone, and geolocation—so your browser never leaks unnecessary context.

5. Contact Us

CleanSlate is created and maintained by Octobridge. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how CleanSlate handles data, please reach out via our Contact Page.
